Pre-Law

Law School

What is the Pre-Law Program?

The TTU Pre-Law Program is a resource for undergraduate students interested in attending law school. There are two main aspects to our program: advising and events. Our Program Advisor, Kristi Bloomquist, as well as Ambassadors are here to help you on your journey to law school. We host a variety of events every semester that are geared towards helping Pre-Law students.

    • Pre-Law is not a major or minor at TTU
    • Legal Studies is a minor offered by the university. It is not required for students going to law school
    • You can have any major and still go to law school
    • You don't have to go to law school right after undergrad. There is no "right" path to law school

What can I do to become more involved in Pre-Law?

We encourage ALL students, regardless of their background, to attend our events and webinars. You will typically have an opportunity to interact with other students interested in law, Pre-Law Ambassadors, and professionals in the legal field at our events. We cover a variety of topics throughout the year. These include but are not limited to: the LSAC website, LSAT exam, Personal Statement essay, and the importance of Letters of Recommendation as well as your resume.

We also have resources like Law School Guidelines and practice LSATs that will help you get admitted to your ideal law school. You have the drive and you know the destination. We can provide the direction you will need to get there!

If you would like to make an appointment to speak with a representative of the TTU Pre-Law Program, please call (806) 742-2189. You can also email us with any questions you may have regarding your journey to law school.
